Countdown
2 weeks and 2 days: Giulia starts school again and we begin homeschooling Paloma. We didn't reregister P at St. George's Nomentana and instead are trying this grand experiment.
1 year: we move to Bali for one year so that the girls can go to this school, Steve can surf and I can sweat.
Lomalinda is the "handle" my good friend Cynthia gave me when I was living in Los Angeles. It's now my user name for virtually everything. My husband, Steve, and I moved to Rome in April 1999 to start our business, The Beehive. Like all children, it has grown and changed to become this extension of ourselves that we in turns love and "hate". Our official offspring followed shortly afterwards - Giulia in 2000, Paloma in 2002 and Viola in 2006. My self-indulgent 20's and my introspective 30's being a thing of the past, I now begin my 40's concentrating on more selfless pursuits - our children, our business and trying to leave behind a better world for both. I hope to use this blog to remember.
